Overview of Audiovisual Stimulation

Our brains experience the world through all of our senses at the same time. Audiovisual stimulation (AVS), sometimes called “light and sound stimulation”, has been scientifically studied since the 1930s. Early research showed that light and sound administered together in specific ways could affect people’s brains and thus their experience. Researchers saw that they could evoke deep states of relaxation by introducing slower and slower AVS.

The Sana Device delivers a patented sequence of (AVS) through a lightweight medical device quality headset. Sana Health’s unique AVS affects the central nervous system by synchronizing (entraining) groups of neurons to the frequencies of the light and sound presented to the eyes and ears of the user.

Sana’s novel AVS therapy is a non-habit forming program with many potential benefits including:

• Improving sleep management

• Accelerating mental and physical recovery

• Increasing overall wellbeing

The AVS of the Sana device resembles the effect of long-term meditative practices, and can promote enhanced wellbeing.
