The Journal of Traumatic Stress Disorders & Treatment has published Sana Health's first peer-reviewed and published article. The research article reports on Sana Health’s PTSD pilot study exploring the effectiveness of the Sana device in managing PTSD symptoms*. The device uses non-invasive neural modulation to target symptoms such as anxiety, sleep disturbances, and overall PTSD severity.
In a blinded randomized controlled trial, participants using the Sana device showed significant improvement compared to the control group. Key benefits included reduced PTSD symptom severity, enhanced sleep quality, and lower anxiety levels, suggesting the device’s therapeutic potential. The study highlights the importance of improved sleep in managing PTSD, with the Sana device showing dual mental health and sleep benefits. These findings point to a broader impact on recovery and well-being.
Sana Health will conduct larger trials to confirm the efficacy, asses long-term effects, and determine optimal usage parameters for the device.
The research emphasizes the growing role of wearable technology in mental health treatments, particularly for PTSD, offering innovative, non-invasive alternatives to traditional therapies. Access the full research article here.
